B Family :: Utah Family Photographer

I was thrilled to photograph this wonderful family and their darling girls.
I first this family some years back… at church… I don’t really remember who got there first or how it came that we became friends, but we did. And they are some awesome people with which to be acquainted. Their girls are the same ages (within a few weeks) as two of my kids, which is super fun!

Anyway, we have since moved on from the ward and the area where we first met, but I’ve been privileged to still see them from time to time, as Lena does my hair. Those of you that know me probably know that I really don’t get my hair done all that often, but when I do, Lena takes good care of me. And my girls for that matter. She is magical!

But, as luck (or not) would have it, I recently learned that her husband got a new job, kinda far away. And they sold their house. Lame. I mean, I’m sure its good for them… but still, lame. They will certainly be missed. So.. it seemed only fitting to dedicate this post to them. I’m sure you’ll agree that they are quite the handsome family. Thanks guys, for letting me be your photographer. And thanks for being such wonderful friends. Stay in touch!

I’ve been absolutely horrid when it comes to keeping this blog updated with my current work! Much improvement is needed, and in 2012, I resolve to publish something new for you at least once a week! I hope everyone had a spectacular holiday season! To start off the year, I wanted to share some pictures of sweet little baby K!

So sweet at just 10 days old!!

Mom and Dad have an affinity for all things western, so they came prepared with all kinds of fabulous props! The little crocheted hat was custom made by Rachel at The Handmade Heritage, just for this little head.

This is one of my personal favorites! I can’t get over how cute this little lady is!

Josie + Nick {Engaged} :: Utah Wedding Photographer

What do you get when you take the Utah State Fair and add in an adorable couple & some vintage charm?

How about an amazingly fun and fabulous engagement session!!

Working with Josie and Nick has been so fun! They were totally up for this fun styled session, and I think they seriously rocked the vintage look.

The State fair was crazy crowded and a tad less accommodating then my maternity shoot at our local county fair, but no less exciting. In fact, we were not the only ones with the idea… we saw another photographer shooting a couple in vintage and several of the vendors commented on how they’ve seen quite a few couples getting their pictures taken at the fair this year. I guess we get points for “trendy.” Haha.

The final images were exactly what I was hoping for – there are so many that I absolutely love that it was hard to choose a selection for this post. Take a look!! Do you love them as much as I do?

I can’t wait for Josie and Nick’s upcoming Formal session and for their January wedding!!! I have lots more fun in store with these two!

‘M’ Family :: Utah Family Photographer

I’m finally finding a moment to blog some of my recent sessions. I am just a bit behind, but being busy is good, right?!

Anyway, I had to share some pictures from this cute family session. It was fun working working with them and getting to know them a little better. Check out all of those piercing blue eyes!! They all had such great eyes.

This family also happen to LOVE soccer and they are big fans of REAL Salt Lake. So, naturally we took some pictures in their jerseys. Check it out!!

Candy at the Fair :: Utah Maternity Photographer

I recently had the opportunity to take maternity portraits for my dear friend, Candy. I convinced her to let me take her to the fair for her portraits… I had images of carnival rides and cotton candy in my head… and I think it worked out perfectly.

Everyone was so nice to us. Vendors let us use their wares as props, carnival workers let her play or pretend to play all sorts of booth games. Food vendors let her pose with drinks, and nachos. And one nice man even let her use is cowboy hat while she rode the mechanical bull. A big THANK YOU to everyone that was so fabulously nice that day.

People regularly stopped us to say how beautiful and glowing she was. And they are absolutely right. Take a look for yourself.

Thanks again, Candy. You are gorgeous. I cannot wait to meet your new little man!

Raelynn :: Utah Maternity Photographer

Last week I had the pleasure of doing a super fun maternity shoot with Raelynn. Take a look at these pictures!! I think they turned out absolutely fabulous.

I seriously felt like I was doing a model shoot for some of these. She’s 7 months pregnant.. and stunning. Thanks Raelynn, I had lots of fun, and I can wait to meet your cute little girl in September! Yay!!

Norton Family Reunion :: Utah Portrait Photographer

My husbands mother’s side of the family got together a couple weeks back for an annual reunion. The crowd that was able to attend was smaller than anticipated, but otherwise things went smashingly well.

Since the camera gear was all bundled up in my trunk and ready to go for family portraits that same day, Dave lovingly volunteered me to take some group shots at the reunion too. I couldn’t help squeezing out a few individual portraits as well.

It was fun to meet some of Dave’s more extended relatives. We all had a great time.
